That's right folks! It is time to play "Postcard or Personal Pic?"
And how does this game work? Well.... I post images and you guess whether they are travel photos I have taken or are they postcards I have scanned and added to my blog.
I tend to collect a lot of postcards on trips. Very often the professionals do a much better job than I ever could at capturing the grandeur and scope of a scene, particularly at night. Plus if I buy 2 of each card then I have one to send to a friend and one to keep for myself. This also works really well for remembering artwork I loved in the museums. Many places do not allow photography, even without a flash, in order to protect the paintings and I try to follow the rules. Sometimes I even frame the postcards later - kind of a compact version of a proper print, but much less expensive.
